Earlier this month, our Company Director Tim Hubbard was invited to join the Dudley Business First event to discuss how we used the FE College Hub’s innovation support to transform our operations.
Harold Mututa, who leads the Black Country Innovation Service project for Innovate UK, shared an insightful presentation about the project. It brings together the five FE colleges in our region to assist businesses with technical expertise and practical support. City of Wolverhampton College, Walsall College South Staffordshire College, Halesowen College, and Dudley College facilitate knowledge sharing and skill-building to strengthen the local innovation ecosystem.
Tim and colleagues from Classfeeds and GRAY TRAINING LTD joined the panel discussion to share our experiences. The discussion offered an opportunity to hear real-world examples of the impact innovation support can bring to the business community. Tim touched on AI for social media, business workflows, and automation and how it helped Your Digital Hub in its startup journey.
Dr Sage Lal, from Innovate UK who led the panel discussion said: “We [via the Innovate Project] are thrilled to support companies in enhancing their production processes, creating new products, and refining ideas through access to technical expertise and practical support.
The session concluded with a discussion on innovation skills, helping us better understand the needs and gaps in local businesses. We continue to support Innovate UK in its mission to bridge these gaps by equipping companies with the tools and expertise they need to thrive, read more about their work at Innovate UK – UKRI
